Lower ab exercises for men are one of the most talked about exercises without a doubt. Men may talk about a lot of exercises but most men want to know about lower ab workouts to finally get rid of that stubborn stomach. Normally when I did ab exercises I paid next to no attention to my abdomen. I just focused on compound exercises like squats and dead-lifts. This worked, to an extent but there is a lot more work that needs to be put in to achieve shredded abs.

Disregarding abs turned out to be a horrible decision as my core looked underdeveloped compared to other areas. Without strong lower abs your physique can look mediocre. If you had to exercise one part of your ab muscles, I would definitely recommend working out lower abs. The main reason is because you will stand out against the majority of dudes that don't work out abs properly.

I will showcase two great lower ab workout exercises later but firstly you need to know the basics around building strong lower abs.

Let's take this back to basic science. Men and women are predetermined to hold onto fat in different respective places. Women's fat is mostly stored around the lower body area whereas men hold fat around the midsection. This is why lower abs are seen as one of the weakest areas of the male physique and it's also why it's so talked about. Men store most of the fat there so don't be surprised if you're struggling to lose weight in that area as well.

The greatest abdominal exercises for males are the ones that really target your lower abdominals.

If you want to really shred your lower abs, this is a great exercise. You should be KILLING your abs each time you do it. If you are still able to bend down to pick things up you really didn't work them out hard enough. The emphasis here is on pain. One great thing about lower ab exercises is that it works your core perfectly. A great core will enable you to perform many of the compound exercises much better. For example I'm able to perform squats to a much higher degree. I'm making gains each week now.

Lying Leg Raises This is one exercise that most people will have done during their time at the gym without a doubt.  The best thing about the raises are that you can do a high amount of reps.
